On the Caelian hill, one stone’s throw from the Colosseum, it is still possible to experience a suspended atmosphere that helps a journey back into the centuries. Churches, Roman ruins, acqueducts, mosaics frescoes truly allows a journey through the centuries.
The discussion will include fascinating churches of S. Clemente, S. Stefano Rotondo and the SS. Four Crowned, but also the extraordinary ancient Roman neighborhood hidden under the church of SS. John and Paul to end, ideally, in the Villa Celimontana, once belonging to the noble Mattei Family, and today a beautiful public park.
